Benchmark Eatery, Dimensional Letter
One of our latest signs, Benchmark Eatery, is the perfect example of an attractive and interesting sign made with dimensional lettering. It’s faux-painted and stud-mounted, standing out against the beige wall behind it.
For dramatic night-time lighting we added museum lights, shining spot lights from below onto the letters. The resulting effect is different than most signs you see that have either an outer glow or channel letters that light up. These letters are lit up by the lights and outlined by their own drop shadow, which takes on an interesting shape resulting from the varying angles of the spot lights.
We also created an engaging sign for inside the restaurant: a vintage-style lightbox with changeable lettering. This is similar to the marquee on an old movie theater. The restaurant can announce specials or upcoming events by fixing the letters to the sign. It is very cool touch for this new and modern eatery on State Street.
