Cascabel Pole Sign Redesign
Cascabel is another great example of a sign that refreshes the pre-existing structure, which in many cases is more effective than starting from a blank page.
In this case there was already a sign on a tall pole outside of the restaurant. Because of the distance of this particular restaurant from our shop, it was important that when we went out to survey the premises we took careful measurements.
Back at the shop we created a sign that would fit perfectly on this pole. We incorporated exposed neon into the sign to ensure that it stood out on the well-lit streets of Studio City.
When we returned to the restaurant, we removed the old sign and placed our new one, which fit perfectly atop the existing pole.
This is a new business in the area, serving higher-end “Coastal Mexican Cuisine.” Being the burgeoning area that it is, new restaurants have to make a statement quickly to grab the attention of the fast-pace clientele in the area. This flashy sign shining out over the city street won’t do all the work, but it will go a long way in letting Studio City residents know that there’s a new great spot in town.
